Galicia, o meu país, a miña terra, era un paraíso verde, cheo de bosques. En beneficio da industria do papel, estes bosques empezaron a arder, e despois de cada lume viña alguén co eucalyptus. Hoxe en día Galicia está perdendo os seus bosques e a súa terra a causa dos incendios e da erosión.

Galicia, my country, my home land, used to be a green paradise, full of forests. For the benefit of the paper industry, these forests started to break in fire and after each fire someone brought the eucalyptus. Nowadays Galicia is losing its forests and its land due to fires and erosion.

As compañías eléctricas xa están a usar, e pretenden amplia-lo uso dos nosos ríos para os seus propósitos privados. Un pode se-lo Ulla, o terceiro río máis grande de Galicia, o río da terra de meus pais, onde disque van instalar dez ou máis centrais hidroeléctricas. E non é so a pesca o que perdemos.

Electric companies are already using, and intend to broaden the use of our rivers for their private purposes. The next may be the Ulla, the third largest river in Galicia, the river of my parents' land, where probably ten or more hydroelectrical centrals will be installed. And it is not only fishing what we lose.
